This 80 class rod is designed for standup fishing, and to be fought out of the gunnel in a rod holder! A rod you can stand up and fight Bluefin, Bigeye, and Yellowfin with, but also drop into the rod holder and fight the fish from there when needed.
They’re extremely easy to handle when setting the spread, clearing lines, and moving around the boat, but when it’s time to put the heat on a fish, they have the power to get the job done.
We built these with oversized Winthrop roller guides for added line clearance and paired them with a #4 Winthrop adjustable butt, giving you the versatility and confidence to fish them across a wide range of offshore applications.
